The Independent Medical Faculty (IMF) is the flagship private sector medical organisation for current times.

The IMF's unique feature is that it has, in one place, all of the following, combined in a single membership organisation:

- Appraisal and Revalidation
- The IMF is a Designated Body and, as such, can offer Appraisal and Revalidation Services to connected members. We have a team of experienced appraisers; and Dr Frater is the Responsible Officer for the purposes of overseeing the Appraisals and providing Revalidation recommendations to the GMC/GDC.
